Whether you are short of time, going on holiday or just needing assistance, we are here to help. Packages can be one off or regular and tailored to meet you and your animal’s individual needs.

We are fully insured with public liability; care, custody and control insurance and are DBS checked.

Recommend a friend

We will give you a £10 discount on your next booking for every friend you recommend. Terms & Conditions apply. Your friend must have completed and paid for their booking for your discount to apply. Your friend must be a new customer not a previous/existing one. Your friend must mention you when making their booking. Discounts are only valid on full price bookings not on any offer rates.

Members Club Discount

If you’re a member of a club i.e pony club, BD, BS etc we will give you a 10% discount on your total hire cost including any additional extras. You must provide a valid membership card for the current year to qualify for this discount.

We can also offer as part of your transport service the use of us as a groom at the event, and an Equissage session.

Transport procedures:

Ensure that from collection to drop off the journey will be comfortable, safe and stress free for both horse and owner.
Professional horse transport service from start to finish at very competitive rates.
We understand the responsibility and respect needed during transporting what is most likely your pride and joy.
Highly trained and hold City and Guilds Level 2 Award in the Transport of Animals by Road and hold all relevant Transporters Licences and Insurances.

Horse box specs:

Built on a 2020 Renault Master designed purposely as a transporter box by West Yorkshire Horseboxes
Capable of carrying two horses along with two passengers.
Side loader, with a low ramp to allow quick, stress free loading for your horse.
Horses travel rear facing and the partitions are adjustable to suit the size of your horse for extra comfort.
Stallion partition, the safest way to travel as there is no breast bar for a horse to potentially jump over
Low noise ceiling fan to regulate the temperature in the horse area
Onboard cameras so can keep an eye on your horse throughout the journey.

Bio security procedures:

Strict biosecurity measures are in place when we transport your horse
Box is thoroughly disinfected at all times using DEFRA approved products
Passenger area is also thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and we carry hand sanitiser and masks for use.

ABOUT NIKKI ARMITAGE

Having started riding as a very young child I fell in love with equestrian sport and developed my lifelong love of horses and animals.

I got my first pony at 9 years old having learnt to ride at Throstlenest in Silkstone Common. Here started the passion to ride, train, compete and care for horses.

40 plus years later I am still owning, riding and competing horses in Riding club, BE, BS and BD competitions.

I have my BHS qualifications, animal first aid and Transport of Animals certificate.

PROFESSIONAL FREELANCE EQUESTRIAN SERVICES

Services on offer include but not limited to:

Exercising either ridden or lunging

Vet/farrier assistance visits

Competition assistance

This can include anything from daily, adhoc or holiday cover when the horse owner needs someone to look after the wellbeing and care for their horse, right through to supporting a competitive rider during a competition.

About Equissage

Equissage Pulse delivers powerful cycloidal (three-way) vibrations to the whole body, and is scientifically proven to improve local blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, relaxation and joint mobility and can help in rehabilitation from a multitude of injuries or persistent conditions.

Clinical trials have proven that Equissage can also increase the stride length of a horse by an average of 21% and increase the hock angles by an average of 9%.

It was also shown to increase the speed of the stride as well as the stride length, making the horse faster and able to cover more ground.

Our horse transport services cover 8 hours from Huddersfield, meaning there’s not many places in the UK we can’t travel to.
